My interest in photography really began when I started SCUBA diving in 2005. Seeing so many beautiful and interesting critters was brilliant, but I couldn't ask my buddy what they were (without drowning). Thus I started my photographic journey underwater so I could look up the critters in a book after the dive. Diving took me to interesting places all over the world and I soon developed more of an interest in travel, landscapes and wildlife. Realising how little I still knew, I took some courses at the Australian Centre for Photography. I shoot with a Nikon D850, D500 and a Sony RX100 MkIII with a Nauticam housing and strobes. Joining the Wollongong Camera Club in 2021 my interest developed further and I love the comradery and being pushed out of my comfort zone with the variety of Set Subject challenges.

I am a keen photographer that has recently become more serious in capturing images after retirement. I love getting out in nature but I also am trying to learn more about street photography, something I really struggle with. Cycling, travel and most importantly my Grandson are my other passions.
