Media Makers
There are endless photographic opportunities in the Illawarra, but do you also like to tell a story, combining multiple images, video, movement and sound?
Media Makers is a branch of Wollongong Camera Club that explores all the avenues for video and audio-visual photography, and the editing involved.
We learn and share techniques for various kinds of media productions from the simplest Tik-tok clip to fully scripted screenplays (albeit short ones).
We explore the opportunities presented by the many and varied recording devices available today. Experimenting with ‘sports’ cameras, drones, etc right up to semi professional movie making equipment. And of course we like to make the most of our phone cameras too.
Our focus currently is to make it easy for newcomers with any level of experience to get involved and make the most of their skills and the resources available.
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, either on zoom or at the club’s regular meeting place - Figtree Heights Public School Hall. From 7:00 for 7:30pm start. Usually finish around 10pm.
